From Tears to Triumph, My Journey to The House of Hope
I started blogging about my journey in writing, editing, polishing and publishing my book, From Tears to Triumph. Now that the book is published, I will blog about aspects of the book: finding hope, making sound life choices, The Children of God, Costa Rica, sex-trade, redemption.
So, here’s where we stand. From Tears to Triumph, My Journey to The House of Hope is in the INTERIOR DESIGN stage.
“What’s that,” You ask?
That is where an interior book designer takes the fully edited manuscript and makes it look pretty! He/she formats the pages, justifies the text right and left, adds page numbers, chooses a font style and font size, adds page numbers (upper right hand corner of page? Middle bottom of page) and headers…while making sure there are no “widows or orphans.”
“Widows or orphans???”
It’s a tedious process. Who knew?
Not me. I’m still not sure what widows and orphans are!
I’ve been blessed that Ted Witt, President of the Northern California Authors and Publishers Association (NCPA) and owner of Pretty Road Press offered to do the interior design work at no charge!
Wow! Kudos and hugs for Ted! Some designers charge from $3.00 to $5.50 PER PAGE!!!
So, I’m patiently awaiting Ted’s completion of the design…
Okay, that’s not true.
I’m “impatiently” waiting for Ted to be done, yet knowing you shouldn’t rush perfection.
The printing company is waiting for the interior design to PRINT the book. The presses are on and ready.
BookNook.Biz is waiting the interior design to then reformat the text for the “e-book” so you can download From Tears to Triumph onto your Kindle or Nook or I-Pad, et al.
In the meantime, I’ve been working with Superior Website Services on the completion of my website.
